Grants
Texas Institute of Equine Dentistry has been approved by the Department of Veteran Affairs Vocational Rehabilitation Program in Texas (chapter 31 only) for veterans with service-connected disabilities and DARS (Division for Rehabilitation Services - Vocational Rehabilitation Services) for disabled individuals in Texas.
Scholarships
The Working Ranch Cowboy Foundation Scholarship Fund (WRCF) offers scholarships to students affiliated with a working ranch cowboy. Please contact mandy@wrca.org for qualification information and an application.
NHSRA The National High School Rodeo Association offers scholarships for its members that can be used at TIED. Please visit their website for more information.
IBHA The International Buckskin Horse Association offers scholarships to their youth members during the annual convention. For more information, please visit their website.
AQHA Foundation The American Quarter Horse Association offers over 20 scholarships for current and former members to be used in the equine industry. The deadline is December 1st and you can download a program outline and application form here.
NCHA The National Cutting Horse Association offers five scholarships for youths whose families are members of NCHA. The deadline is June 1st and for more information, please visit their scholarship page.
AMHI The American Morgan Horse Institute offers several different types of scholarships for youth who are involved with Morgan horses. The deadline for the application form is March 1st. Please visit the AMHI website for more information.
The Race for Education offers the Thoroughbred Scholarship for students of any background wishing to work in the equine industry. Students must be under 24 years old and have a 2.85 cumulative GPA. The scholarship is for up to $6000 per year. The deadline is February 28, 2010. Please visit their scholarship page for more scholarships that might be applicable to you.
