Head & Neck Anatomy
Course Description
The Head & Neck Anatomy Course was designed to give students a basic, working knowledge of equine head and neck anatomy.
Instructor
The instructor of Head & Neck Anatomy is Dr. Brillhart, DVM.
Format
This course will include lectures and a dissection of an equine head. The course takes place over two days (Monday and Tuesday) of the week following regular session school.
Prerequisites
DT101 must be taken before permission will be granted to sign up for Head & Neck Anatomy.
Content Outline
Day 1 2.5 hours lecture; 2.5 hours dissection
Day 2 2.5 hours lecture; 2.5 hours identification
Materials needed for class
All material for Head & Neck Anatomy will be provided by TIED, including the textbook and notebook.

Grading Procedures
The final written exam constitutes 100% of the student's grade.
Grades
The Head & Neck Anatomy course is pass/fail, with students scoring 70% and better on the written exam passing. Anything lower than a 70% will constitute a failing grade.
